Comfort and Cater to You

I wish I could cry with you,
Hold your hand in mine and have you share your grief with me,
Whilst painful, hot tears stream down our faces,
Leaving permanent scars.
I would let us cry until our puffy eyes can no longer yield tears,
Our heads ache and our voices get worn out from screaming in anguish; “why me? why us?”
But if not us, then whom?
No one merits this for sure.
I wish I could give you a kiss full of light and healing,
One that would perpetually seep through every crevice of your cerebral cortex,
Until you understand
That the pain was never meant to break you.
I wish I could be next to you,
Be your right hand,
Or the left,
As long as I’m your hand.
For when you need something,
It would instantly be done.
I wish I could envelop you in my arms and cuddle the pain away,
Nourish you,
And have you feeling so overwhelmed by love,
You cannot find a way to reconnect with your pain,
Or it with you.
I wish I could bare my soul out to you,
So that you can see the light again
I wish I could comfort and cater to you
