To be honest with you, this day sucked, and this day always sucks every year. Somehow, we manage to spend the day in a car pushing someone else’s agenda secretly wishing we could be somewhere else.

This year I could not really complain because the agenda that was being pushed academically benefited me. So, we drove around from morning until 4pm. My patience was non-existent, I was hangry (yes hangry) and seriously craving caramel coated vanilla ice cream ☹.

We had been invited to one of my parent’s cousin’s house for a Christmas lunch. I repeat, lunch, not late lunch or early dinner. It was also the first time that we were meeting them. We arrived at the house around 6pm. I could see the disappointment in those people’s eyes, lunch, at 6pm? Okay. We introduced ourselves and they started warming up the food. When I say the food was DELICIOUS, you best believe it was! I didn’t even have time to take pictures of the food. I was a happy baby after the malva pudding and custard dessert. The rest of the day was spent driving, AGAIN, to one of our other cousin’s house to meet and greet, which was great because I met two really cool cousins of mine.

I’m sure you can tell by the way I’m writing that I did not quite enjoy this day to its fully hyped potential (expectations, expectations, I never learn), but it was okay because my sister had blessed me with my Christmas gift before she left for San Jose, California; a mini speaker and a rose gold watch 😊, two things I had beeeeen asking for for a very long time. A happy baby.
