Day five had come and it was time for us to unwind and go sightseeing beyond that time-stealing mall. We invited my dad's younger brother to join us for the adventures of the day. It was extremely windy but sunny, so a tamable dress was finally an option for an outfit.
Our first stop was The Old Biscuit Mill. I went there mainly for that famous picture that everyone takes in front of the sign and hopefully to get some milky short bread biscuits. My middle sister who was not with us in Cape Town, forgot to tell us that there actually are no biscuits at the place, rather an African dish-serving restaurant which we did not see. We literally entered the place, parked, walked to the well, got out, took a few pictures and left. What a waste, I could have had a scrumptious meal I probably would not have taken a picture of.

We then headed to Steenberg Vineyards for some wine tasting. I was really excited for this, but a little bit nervous because I would be drinking in front of my parents for the very first time. My mother does not drink, she used to drink before she had her first child and she stopped immediately after that. I was kind of afraid she would judge me for even wanting to try. What gave me the courage to insist on participating in the wine tasting was a tweet I had read earlier that said: "Some of you will reach the age of 30 still hiding your drinking habits from your parents because you didn't have enough courage to be who you are in front of them." I think my mom was a little bit sad that I was drinking, but nonetheless she let me. My dad, uncle and I tried the Bubbles tasting option which I thoroughly enjoyed with a side of anxiety of the possibility of getting drunk in front of my parents.
After the wine tasting, my sister and I decided to take a walk down the vineyards, but it was sadly cut short because of the wind. It was literally threatening to blow us away, so we attempted to take a few pictures and quickly ran to the car.
One thing I loved about Cape Town is how you could be driving on a flat road the one moment, then you find yourself on a steep hill overlooking the city the next moment. After the wine tasting, my mother drove us around and we ended up at Signal Hill. I think on days that are not windy they offer paragliding services at that hill, but on that day, people were just chilling and enjoying the sunset whilst overlooking Camps's bay with a distant view of Robben Island.

There was this one couple that just came and sat in front of everyone and started making out (PG style). In that very moment, I was so happy I was wearing my sunglasses, to avoid the awkward looks all the parents were giving their children. I really wished they would stop being in the zone, but the guy clearly did not give a rat's ass about the rest of the people that were there as he proceeded to lie on top of the girl. I quickly moved to take pictures of my family and moved a little bit down the cliff with my mom so she could take a few pictures of me and save us all from the embarrassment of the public indecency we were were all victims of.
The night ended with us having a meal from Spur. I still don't really vibe with their food, but my mom chose the restaurant in my sister and I absence so we couldn't really argue. My sister headed to H&M to make the most of the sale they had going on, so she didn't join us for dinner.
After dinner we dropped off my uncle at his place and headed to our gem to relax and rest in preparation for Robben Island the next day.
